Bajram Neshati
Mr. Bajram Neshati is currently working as BESS Project Director at MCA-Kosovo, the accountable entity for implementing MCC transformative Compact[1] program for the Republic of Kosovo.
The Energy Storage Project is the first (and largest) project under Kosovo’s Compact and is structured into three activities with a total budget of more than $180 million. Notably, 82% of this funding is provided as a grant by the U.S. Government through the Millennium Challenge Corporation, with the remaining portion being contributed by the Government of Kosovo. The objective of the Energy Storage Project is to support Kosovo’s energy security and transition to a cleaner energy future.
Mr. Neshati is a dedicated and open-minded professional with excellent academic background and industry experience. He has more than ten (10) years of professional working experience in energy sector in Kosovo with more than nine (9) years on managerial positions.
He has also been working parallelly for three semesters on public University of Prishtina, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, as adjunct lecturer on Power Engineering field.
He is very experienced on Energy Transition processes in Kosovo and beyond. During his career within Kosovo’s Distribution System Operator in electricity, he has been engaged in many national and international working groups dealing with Energy Policies, Technical Codes, Position Papers and other relevant documents within the Energy Community Secretariat of Vienna, Government of Kosovo’s relevant ministries, USAID and so on. Served as a main contact person of the operator to the Energy Regulatory Office of Kosovo and Energy Sector relevant ministry – The ministry of Economy.
During his career within Kosovo’s DSO in electricity, Mr. Neshati has also been closely engaged with the preparation, submission, approval, implementation, and monitoring of Distribution Network Five-year Investment Plan for the period 2023-2027 (Over 120M eur. investments in electricity infrastructure projects) and respective Ten-year Network Development Plans.
Having obtained both a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Power Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Prishtina, he is presently pursuing his PhD within the same faculty.
