Max Schoenfisch

Max Schoenfisch is a Power Sector Modeller in the IEA’s World Energy Outlook team. As a Power Sector
Modeller, Max models and analyses the evolution of regional power systems for the annual World
Energy Outlook, the IEA flagship publication. Power system flexibility and the integration of variable
renewables are a key focus of his work.
Prior to joining the IEA, Max was a Senior Research Consultant at Institute of Energy Economics in
Cologne, Germany, where he advised clients from the private and public sector on energy matters, in
particular relating power, natural gas and hydrogen.
